What does a first session with you look like?
The Goal is to take away a better understanding Of the challenges that you face. Understand what the triggers are and how to better cope or handle them. I want you to understand that it’s OK not to feel good… or be happy all the time. Honesty is the best way to address any of your problems. Hopefully I will be able to help you tap in to your strengths in order to better handle life issues. I’ll help you manage your issues step by step.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
Motivational interviewing, Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy are the 3 main theoretical Concepts that have been helpful in treating my clients. All three methods assist in helping the individual modify their thinking which in turn allows them to eventually change their behavior.
