The first session, as with all Thriveworks therapists, will involve talking through your needs and goals for therapy — whether those involve managing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or another mental health challenge. This will enable you to receive the very best care, as a personalized treatment plan will then be developed for subsequent sessions. Thriveworks helps people live happier, more fulfilling lives. Clients are guided and supported as they work through their unique mental health challenges – and, along the way, shown the life-changing power of therapy.
I offer a variety of counseling approaches including CBT / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems. As a religious woman and certified trauma professional/substance use disorder therapist I understand the connection between trauma, isolation, and substance abuse.
Katlynn "Katie" Bovee is a Licensed Clinical Master Social Worker (LMSW-C) with nearly 3 years of experience helping adult clients to better cope with addictions, grief, low self-esteem, sexual abuse, stress, women s issues, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and career-related issues. Katie earned her Master's degree in Social Work from Saginaw Valley State University. She has a relaxed teamwork approach, where her clients are seen as the expert in their own lives. As a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Katie understands the connection between trauma, isolation, and substance abuse. She enjoys helping her clients process their history of trauma while learning how to cope and make peace with their past. Katie's goal is always to meet her clients where they are at and work as a team to help their symptoms improve from wherever they are at.
