What is your style/approach to therapy?

With over 10 years of clinical experience, my warm, gentle, and compassionate personality mixed with a "let's call it what it is" twist in sessions has helped me to work effectively with a wide range of adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, life transition, to relationship and communication problems. My role as a therapist is that of a listener, a collaborative problem solver, and a teacher/coach to help you better understand yourself and learn skills to regulate your emotions and behaviors. I gravitate towards a mixture of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused, and eye-movement de-sensitization reprocessing (EMDR) in my practice because each client is unique in their walk of life and there is no one-size-fits-all therapy. I am a therapist at Octave, a behavioral health practice creating a new standard for mental health care that’s both high-quality and accessible.
