What does a first session with you look like?
On our first session, I will be gathering information about what you would like to explore. If you have already been to therapy I will work to encorporate previous work you have done without requiring you to go into depth unless you want to do that. I will be working to earn your trust and show you the safe place I have created just for you!
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I use an eclectic approach to therapy that is client focused. I utilize methods that are research driven and shown to be effective form of therapy. Some of my favorites are Gottman, Emotionally Focused, Narrative, Cognitive-Beahvioral, and Collaborative theories of therapy. These approaches help my clients expose non-helpful behaviors and to develop helpful ones. I also offer sex therapy.
