What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

Kellie is a LPC who has been practicing since 2015. She graduated from JMU with a degree in Psychology & Family Studies, earned her Master's in Counseling at UNC Charlotte, and completed post- master's work in professional counseling at VCU. Kellie thoroughly enjoys learning about her client's backgrounds, experiences, and understanding what motivates them. She believes every individual's journey to healing is unique and this is why she takes an eclectic approach to counseling; with main focuses on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance & Commitment, and an understanding of attachment. In her spare time, Kellie enjoys spending time with her family, traveling to new places, and participating in anything outdoors. She has found the key to happiness is simplicity. She is an avid runner and is on a quest to run a race in all 50 states!.
