What does a first session with you look like?
A client can anticipate that their first appointment will include a thorough psychiatric evaluation, establishment of treatment objectives, and education on diagnosis and prospective treatment options. I have the privilege of working with many knowledgeable and experienced clinicians and supervising medical doctor (MD). I feel honored to coordinate care with them when it is appropriate given the needs of the clients.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I specialize in treating substance addiction, chronic mental illness, trauma, psychotic disorders, and mood disorders in adults ages 18 to 65 through psychiatric assessment, medication management, and brief psychotherapeutic intervention. I emphasize developing a personalized care plan incorporating evidence-based practice, interprofessional collaboration, and client participation. By providing empowering education in a stigma-free setting, I hope to inspire my clients to take charge of their illness treatment.
