What does a first session with you look like?
In the first session, we will establish rapport. The goal of the first session is to answer a single question "What brought you in today?" My role is to gather data and explain how the therapeutic process works. I will never tell you how to think, feel, or behave but instead identify the disruptions to your day-to-day functioning and collaborate on how to move through your concerns. I'm ready and willing to support throughout this process with an eclectic approach and a gentle injection of humor where appropriate. We are so much bigger than our issues - so let's build our awareness, together.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Eco-therapy (Nature Based Therapy) and Mindfulness Practices. My hope in working with client's is to first assess and determine together which method works best for the client.
