What does a first session with you look like?

During our first session, we will spend time getting to know you. I'll be assessing where you stand mentally, socially, physically, and spiritually and we will focus on setting goals for treatment. Over the next few sessions, you will have opportunities to explore those needs further and to begin practicing some techniques within sessions and in-between sessions.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I will utilize cognitive behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness strategies. Depending on your needs/goals, there might be homework such as journaling, progressive muscle relaxation, behavior activation, etc.
