After your first session, you are likely to feel better from finally letting go and beginning to share your struggle! You many also notice a range of emotions such feeling frustrated, anxious, embarrassed, or irritable. This is common and I encourage you to pay attention and bring the experience to your next session. I will enable you to move forward, with hard work on your part, by listening and responding to your needs as they may change over time. You will acquire the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to improve your life. After we have been working together for a while, we will progress and gain more clarity on your goals, desires and ambitions. We will take life as it comes along...with success.

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to work on negative thinking, reframing, core beliefs and moods. I use distress tolerance and emotion regulation to treat strong urges or emotions such as feeling suicidal or on the verge of relapse. I teach anger management skills as a Certified Anger Resolution Therapist. I treat Substance Use Disorders as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern. I utilize articles, videos, podcasts, audiobooks, social media, worksheets, apps, journal prompts and other forms of education and reflection.
