What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

Kristi completed her Master's in Education and Human Development in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the George Washington University in 2015. Kristi has been an independently licensed professional counselor since 2019 and a board approved clinical supervisor since 2021. Prior to completing her master's degree, Kristi completed her undergraduate education at the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College at Florida Atlantic University where she studied psychology and completed an undergraduate thesis on the topics of grief, burnout and death anxiety among hospice workers. Over the course of my counseling career thus far, I have worked with clients on a wide variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, life transitions, and self-esteem issues, and from a range of different backgrounds. My main focus has been on working with adults and have experience working with children and adolescents on similar issues. That experience has been gained through both community-based counseling and outpatient services. I take great pride in making sure my clients are comfortable and understand that I am here to help them achieve what they want and that therapy is only what they make it.
