What you can expect from our first session together is for us to spend the majority of our time talking about how you have been feeling recently and for me to empathetically ask questions to gain insight and understand parts of why you may be feeling that way. In our first session together, we will be focused on building an initial connection and helping me get a sense of where we should go from there. Since each individual is unique and different, I make sure to listen first before assuming I know what will work best for you moving forward.

My approach to therapy is compassionate, strength-based and varies based on the unique needs of each client I work with. With a culturally sensitive lens and an eclectic and flexible approach, you can expect to see in me utilizing aspects of Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy and mindfulness as these modalities help us create a shared understanding of your reality which paves the way for us to make progress in treatment.
