I generally use various psychotherapy methods of treatments for those who wish to engage in therapy alone or as an adjunct to medication management. Some of the psychotherapeutic modalities include DBT, CBT, Interpersonal therapy, play therapy, etc. I use various screening tools to monitor for better symptom management and optimum outcomes. Approach to medications is conservative with a goal of always using the lowest effective doses to alleviate distress and avoidance of polypharmacy. This will be different for each patient as care is customized based on individual needs.

After the initial visit, I will partner with patient to determine appropriate plan of care which will be individualized to patient's needs. This will include agreeing to cadence of follow up visits , establish goals and discussing expectations of treatment. Patient can expect to be screened for symptom management on each visit to help determine the progress of treatment. Depending on each situation provider may need to collaborate care with other providers and collateral ( teachers, family, etc) for optimum outcomes. Communication by email and telephone is available if a patient needs to reach provider before the next scheduled appointment.
