What does a first session with you look like?
I believe in taking a more light-hearted approach to therapy to foster insight and growth in my clients. We will focus on the issues at hand to strengthen the client from the inside in order to change disruptive thoughts and therefore behaviors. No one person knows what it is like to be in our clients' shoes therefore we must work together to gain a greater understanding of the challenges that exist and the answers within.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I utilize client-centered therapy along with cognitive-behavioral therapy. Basically, you are the captain of the ship and together we work to recognize thoughts and patterns that are negatively impacting your behavior and relationships.
