What does a first session with you look like?

Through a nonjudgmental, supportive, and empathic manner, my objective is to help bring clarity to your goals, learn stress reduction techniques, guide you to take supported risks that can change your life, and help you understand parts of yourself and your life that will ease your suffering. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process and will help guide you to increase self-awareness, explore needs, consider alternative perspectives, break counterproductive habits and patterns, and increase personal strengths to have a more meaningful life experience.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I believe that everyone brings their own histories, personalities, and relationships into therapy, which is why I work from various modalities to suit your needs and personality and tailor therapy in an individualized manner. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic, strength-based therapy, person-centered, mindfulness-based therapy, and solution-focused work. I incorporate mindfulness and compassion into my therapeutic approaches throughout our sessions. I help individuals gain insight into their strengths and build upon them, while also being a support of the mind-body connection to promote a healthy well-being.
