What does a first session with you look like?
During the initial visit, in a completely safe and private environment, you will have the opportunity to provide detailed information regarding the situation which lead you to seek services. I will engage and actively listen to complete the interview process which explores your needs for developing an effective treatment plan.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational, and Solution Focused therapy techniques to educate you on your journey. Homework is occasionally assigned to reinforce some of the skills learned during the therapy session. Stong open communication, analytical and problem-solving skills and coaching will be used to help the consumer to make positive changes.
