What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Leslie graduated from the Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) program at the University of Tennessee in 2011. She is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW) with the state of Tennessee. She works with individuals ages 16 and up, as well as family units. Leslie specializes in working with individuals who have experienced trauma and offers a judgment free environment to process even the most difficult events. She is skilled in helping to manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, attachment concerns, behavioral challenges, and the stress associated with chronic illness. Leslie is a LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Theraplay, and Attachment, Self Regulation and Competency (ARC). Leslie believes in partnering with clients to find the best treatment approach, making therapy a custom fit for each individual or family.
