What does a first session with you look like?
The work of therapy is a partnership in which the therapist and client collaborate on goals and how to reach them. Initially sessions involve building trust and insight. Each session will work with those goals. We will review, discuss and change or add as needed and evaluate their effectiveness.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
As a long term therapist, I have been trained in a variety of modalities. I have access to tools and media for these different modalities including CBT, mindfulness, narrative therapy, client centered therapy, grief, anger management, stress management, positive psychology, somatic therapy and coaching.
