The first session, as with all Thriveworks therapists, will involve talking through your needs and goals for therapy — whether those involve managing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or another mental health challenge. Lori Angell is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado. Her specialty is providing individual and group counseling to children and adolescents. Lori works with clients on a myriad of topics such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, divorce, trauma, and self-harm. She is also very familiar with the unique challenges and struggles that military children face as well as a strong ally and support for LGBTQIA+ clients. Lori completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Human Services at UCCS Colorado Springs, Colorado. She has experience working within the education system as a school counselor where she assists with removing barriers to student success. Lori is very passionate about joining with her clients on their path to wellness. She utilizes a variety of methods to assist her clients and is dedicated to creating a compassionate and safe space for them as they work toward their goals. Lori is person-centered and works hard to build a genuine, positive rapport with her clients. She understands that childhood and adolescence can be very challenging times and works hard to support clients through the process, as they achieve growth and resilience.
