I utilize Emotion Focused and Narrative Therapy as primary treatment methods in my practice. In practice we will focus on the sources of distress and the emotions associated with these sources. While processing these emotions, we will take a deeper look into the impact these emotions have had in shaping viewpoints and opinions about one's self and their surroundings. While Emotion Focused and Narrative Therapy are my primary treatment methods, I am eclectic by nature and utilize interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, and Art Therapy as well.

In our first few sessions, one can expect a gentle ease into therapy. The relationship between therapist and client is critical for overall growth, and how often does one speak about their greatest woes within 10 minutes of meeting someone? Initial sessions will focus on building comfort, feelings of safety, and getting to know both therapist and client. All goals and treatment plans will be made collaboratively, and will be completed as a conversation between us. As sessions continue, trust will develop until you feel comfortable sharing more details about yourself and what brought you to seek help.
