What does a first session with you look like?
My clients should expect to feel supported and empowered after a session with me. Some conversations are more difficult than others but I work diligently to create an environment where my clients feel safe and secure. I prioritize equipping my clients with the tools and strategies to make sense of their lived experiences while making sure they don't feel alone. Healing is a collaborative endeavor that requires honesty and caring without judgment.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I believe that each person is the expert of their own story. For that reason, I tailor my treatment practices to the needs of my clients by using evidence-based approaches. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy guide my style of connecting with my clients. We will work together to assess and address your emotional, and mental health needs as your journey unfolds.
