What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

Marcia Phillips is an MSN, PMHNP- BC (Psychiatry Mental Health Nurse Practitioner). Her background includes child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry, and substance abuse. Ms. Phillips clinical career took her on a journey twenty plus years through the healthcare system mental health from inpatient crisis stabilization, outpatient settings, managing the care of everyone from toddlers with autism, adults, and older adults included dementia. Her expertise lies in psychopharmacology and treatment for Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar DO, Schizophrenia, PTSD, Gender Dysphoria, Borderline Personality Do, and medical detoxification for Alcohol Abuse Do, and Opiate Use Do. In her free time, Ms. Phillips hobbies are simple to spend as much time as possible with her granddaughter, going to the movies and viewing makeup tutorials on YouTube. She is a strong advocate for empowering nurses, and she fiercely believes that nurses should play a pivotal role in shaping modern health care.
