What is your style/approach to therapy?

I primarily utilize client centered and solution focused therapy. I will sometimes ask you to complete a worksheet or do some homework for further exploration outside of therapy, if you find this helpful. It is never required, but something to add to the session.

What does a first session with you look like?

My first session I like to start with a brief overview of the what to expect in therapy, confidentiality and anything I must report by law that may come up in therapy. I then want to learn more about you and why you are seeking therapy. I try to set realistic goals each session to help you reach the results you hope to achieve. It is common to take few steps forward and sometimes a couple steps back in the process, which is completely normal.
