Our first session together will allow you to share the thoughts and feelings that you are uncomfortable telling others. Don’t worry if you don’t know where to start or are feeling nervous or believe that it will be pointless. That’s simply the place that you are right now in your journey to healing. We will work together to get you to each next step, through gentle guidance and nonjudgmental questions that will allow you to provide more of yourself in a place that is safe and private.
CBT looks at the interplay between the mind, body, and actions and focuses on trying to understand the why of what we’re doing. After understanding the why, we can interrupt the cycles that are not increasing value in your life. ACT focuses on mindfulness and acceptance to put our past to rest so you can be more fully present in the future. DBT focuses on being balanced in a way where we are not ruled by our emotions, but nor are we numbed to the experiences of life around us.
