What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

Maggie Alvarez is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in Florida who has been practicing since 2018. She received her Bachelor of Science at Florida State University with a Major in Psychology and a Minor in Sociology and her Master of Science in Counseling and Psychology with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Troy University. Maggie believes in connecting with her clients by understanding their life values and learning what it is that brings joy to their lives. She strives to provide a compassionate and safe space for her clients to process which ever difficulty they are currently facing in life. In her spare time, Maggie enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs, cooking, going to the gym, nature walks, and drinking tea with a good book in her hand.
