Learn more about my:

What does a first session with you look like?

Often clients are conflicted about their perception of their problem. In sessions, clients can learn that they were on the right path, but lack validation, empowerment, and coping skills. When clients learn the power they hold within and learn to manage daily and emotional stressors they can reap the benefits of their work and see the results they have been striving for. During your first session, we begin by considering what you would like to be different. We consider the role of barriers that have prevented that change, as well as expectations in treatment during your therapeutic journey. This foundation allows us to build a strong therapeutic alliance, where you will feel supported and can increase your understanding of your experiences and journey into therapy.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I apply a trauma-informed and integrative approach as this allows for client autonomy and client-centered care. I am trained in CBT, DBT, and Parent-Child Psychotherapy. I also use play therapy, motivational interviewing, and various other interventions. Clients benefit from my eclectic and integrative approach as this supports client autonomy and individualized care. I am dedicated to the ongoing pursuit of knowledge and consider myself a lifelong learner. Consistently expanding on my existing knowledge allows me to grow with the evolving mental health field and client needs.
