What does a first session with you look like?
I know that seeking help can be overwhelming, and I also know that building a collaborative therapeutic alliance facilitates the path to healing and growth. If you are experiencing difficulties with how your thoughts are impacting your mood or the way you are reacting to daily situations. If you want to be more present, work on improving your relationships, regulate emotions, express your feeling or needs, and cope with daily stress in a healthier way. Or if you are experiencing PTSD, anxiety, depression, or despair due to a traumatic experience. Let's talk about you. This is a great place to start.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I describe my therapeutic approach as eclectic. It is definitely trauma-informed and cultural/diversity respectful. I use Psychoeducation, CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and self-care practices.
