What does a first session with you look like?
During the first session we will be gathering information about your current situation, needs, expectations, and very important, your history. We can discuss the treatment plan avenues and, that is just the beginning of your path to achieve your mental and wellbeing goals.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I am a bilingual Latina, from Puerto Rico, LCSW in the state of Florida. I have 16 years of experience in different settings and working with diverse populations. I describe my therapeutic approach as eclectic. It is definitely trauma-informed and cultural/diversity respectful. I use Psychoeducation, CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and self-care practices.
