What does a first session with you look like?
My goal is to empower individuals in achieving their fullest potential by providing an environment where they can feel heard and understood, and where they can work towards personal growth, self-awareness, and healing.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I like to use a number of approaches that include interpersonal therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS; "parts work") and polyvagal theory. I mostly enjoy utilizing techniques based upon the individual needs of the client rather than only following one approach.
