Under Clinical Supervision

Marissa Kartub, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, 126830 is practicing under the supervision of Danielle Cameron (California, LCSW, 119910) at NOCD.

Please, note: A clinician listed as being “clinically supervised” is completing clinical hours toward their licensure. They have one or more fully licensed clinical supervisors that often have special training to become supervisors. They consult with their supervisor(s) on all of their cases, which means that, when working with them, you are getting the time and expertise of multiple therapists in your treatment.

What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

I wanted to become a therapist to be a professional helper, providing support throughout the healing process. I decided to specialize in OCD after working with perinatal mood disorders and realizing how under-treated and misdiagnosed postpartum OCD is. This realization highlighted the importance of growing my competency to better serve such a significant population. My colleagues and I focus on delivering evidence-based treatment for OCD. We use ERP (Exposure Response Prevention) therapy, the gold standard for OCD treatment. Our thorough training and specialization ensures that we can support you effectively When you start with therapy, you’ll either work with me or be paired with one of my colleagues based on your preferences. We’ll work to get to know you and create a personalized treatment plan to help you achieve your goals. Plus, we offer support between sessions through direct messaging and a community of peers with OCD, ensuring you never feel alone. Please let me know if there's anything that could make the therapy space feel safer for you—I love and need your feedback. Remember, you are the most important part of the therapy process, and your voice is vital. You're investing in yourself by being here, so we need to ensure you feel comfortable enough to be yourself. Thank you for trusting in me.
