The first session, as with all Thriveworks therapists, will involve talking through your needs and goals for therapy — whether those involve managing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or another mental health challenge. Markieta Boswell is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has worked in the mental health profession for 7 years. Markieta has experience in helping and supporting others through this journey we call life. Some of the specific areas that she supports her clients in include depression, grief/loss, trauma, women's issues, family challenges, work/employment conflict, and self-esteem. Markieta obtained a Master of Arts in Counseling from Oakland University and a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development from Marygrove College. Markieta s counseling approach is to develop a safe, welcoming, non-judgmental and trusting relationship where people are free to be their authentic selves. As a counselor/therapist, her primary goal is to partner alongside individuals to walk towards a positive and healthy place of inner growth and/or healing.
