You will be walking into a safe space where you will not be judged for what you feel is wrong. We will go over any situations that are causing you distress and handle them in that session. Near the end of each session, we will go over a technique to help with getting you closer to your goals and speaking about its efficacy at the beginning of the next session.
I practice Dialectical Behavior Therapy which encompasses both acceptance and change in behaviors. DBT uses mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness skills. This type of therapy incorporates from Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Exposure Therapy, and Cognitive Therapy.
