Learn more about my:
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I became a therapist to provide an environment where individuals could explore themselves honestly and without shame. My passion for working in mental health grew out of the need for LGBTQIA+ individuals to receive competent mental health care from providers who understood their needs. The longer I'm in the field, the more I see that identity is a core issue for most people. Shame permeates our culture, and I strive to help those I work with understand themselves uniquely so they can love themselves authentically.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
Everyone seems to struggle with identity in our shame-filled culture. I work with people (especially LGBTQIA+ people) trying to connect better with their own sense of self and lay claim to their strengths. My clients are individuals exploring who they are, in transition, or needing support due to depression or anxiety. Shame permeates our culture, and I strive to help those I work with understand themselves uniquely so they can love themselves authentically. Working with me should feel empowering and natural. I operate through a body and sex-positive framework, incorporating a variety of therapeutic techniques including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness practices. Together, we’ll find the tools you need to move through this time, manage difficult emotions, and incorporate regulatory practices into your daily life. Your ability to cope with stress will increase, and you’ll become more comfortable and confident in yourself. It can be so challenging to engage in self-love, especially when we are still navigating who we are and who we are not. As we work together, my hope is that you ultimately see yourself in an authentic and holistic light.
What are your biggest strengths as a therapist?
I am uniquely skilled at: 1. Building a strong, effective therapeutic relationship with you. 2. Making you feel safe and confident in our work together. 3. Helping you understand yourself and create the changes you want.

Work History
I hold dual degrees in mental health/wellness and queer health, education, and social services. I worked at an intensive outpatient program and partial hospitalization program for adolescent teens struggling with suicidal ideations, self-hating behaviors, and substance abuse. The program was DBT based and I helped them develop a program specifically for their LGBTQIA+ identified youth to explore the intersection of their identity and mental health. I also have experience in the education system as a school-based crisis counselor. I’m now a proud member of the Resilience Lab mental health collective. Resilience Lab is the largest community of clinicians working collaboratively to produce better outcomes and improve mental health access.
