What does a first session with you look like?
After our first session, we will work together to develop your goals for therapy. During sessions, I encourage you to provide me with the details you deem essential to assist in your healing. Additionally, I will provide helpful tools to aid in your journey along with homework assignments. Together we will work to question your insecurities, challenge your negative thoughts, and align your behaviors with your desired goals.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
The treatment modalities I generally utilize are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT). However, I can adjust to your needs to adapt to other treatment methods. I tend to provide homework assignments to prepare you for real-life situations. Additionally, I educate and provide DBT tools, coping techniques, and other various mechanisms I find may be helpful.
