What does a first session with you look like?

Therapy can help you learn new ways of understanding yourself, and, with time and practice, you will develop greater mastery over the way you think, feel and respond to yourself and others in difficult situations. After our first session, we will create a plan that emphasizes your goals and what you want to gain out of therapy. You will develop new tools, strategies and skillful ways to cope and respond to life's ups and downs.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I have specialized training and experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness based interventions. This means that we will explore how you think and feel, and find ways to challenge and transform unhelpful thoughts and behaviors in order to develop and increase the feelings of being present, self compassionate, and intentional.
