Throughout my career I noticed people suffer with unresolved grief and trauma. I wanted to do more than talk therapy so I ventured into the world of EMDR. Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing has drastically changed how I approach trauma. Utilizing this modality I have helped people overcome their trauma and get back to living their lives. I am also trained in perinatal mood disorders and am passionate about helping mothers with postpartum depression , anxiety and anger.

Success is solely defined by your own terms in therapy. We will work together to create a realistic treatment plan and realistic goals for your life. For some people success is a decrease in negative symptoms and for other success is learning healthier coping skills.

My life philosophy is to never give up and that's the same philosophy I use in my treatment. It is my goal to help you with your feelings and thoughts in the present time but to help you towards a better future.

I have worked in a variety of settings throughout my career. I began working in an outpatient mental health clinic treating individuals with co-occuring substance abuse and mental illnesses issues. I then took the knowledge and experience I learned to provide couples counseling to struggling families and provide individual counseling to women 16-70. I am also trained in perinatal mood disorders and healthy relationship skills. I completed EMDR training in 2019  to to better assist people in decreasing their traumas.
