What is your style/approach to therapy?
I use a combination of different methods and tools. I find myself most often using emotion focused, mindfulness, grounding, changing thought patterns and psychoeducation. That is just a short list, and it varies depending on what challenges you are experiencing.
What does a first session with you look like?
You can expect a safe and welcoming place to discuss the issues that are on your mind. First, I will get to know you and what is helpful for you in therapy. Then, I will tailor your sessions to your needs. That could be a place to talk out what is on your mind or different ways to cope with your struggles. I am flexible and like to take sessions where you want them to go. You can also expect my two dogs to pop up every once in a while, to say hello!
