What is your style/approach to therapy?

Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy. It may help you to change unhelpful or unhealthy ways of thinking, feeling and behaving. CBT uses practical self-help strategies. These are designed to immediately improve your quality of life. CBT can be an effective way to treat depression and anxiety. Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a type of talk therapy that helps people learn how to live in the moment, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others. It's based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) but is adapted for people who feel emotions very intensely. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a type of psychotherapy that helps people accept negative thoughts, feelings, and circumstances. It encourages people to commit to healthy activities that uphold their values or goals. ACT is based on a theoretical and philosophical framework that uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies, together with commitment and behavior change strategies. Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) is a short-term, collaborative approach to psychotherapy that focuses on setting goals and finding solutions. It's based on solution-building rather than problem-solving. Emotion-focused therapy (EFT) is a short-term therapy approach that aims to improve relationships by rekindling the physical and emotional bond between partners. EFT is based on the premise that emotions are key to identity and guide individual choice and decision making. The therapy assumes that lacking emotional awareness or avoiding unpleasant emotions can cause harm.
