What does a first session with you look like?

From an intersectional, decolonized, and trauma-informed lens, I use mindful compassion to work in ways that are depth-oriented, integrative, and practical. I am passionate about facilitating mindfulness and transformative healing practices, empowering skill-building, and modeling curiosity and acceptance for our experience to explore how you want to live your life with liberation and resilience. I am not an expert on your life. I am not here to tell you what to do, but to collaborate and support you in identifying how you want to participate in your life in a way that makes sense for you. Together we will work towards improved self-understanding and compassion for your present day challenges and insight to make changes in your life for growth & healing in mind, body, and soul.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I take a mindfulness-compassionate based approach and utilize techniques tailored to your needs the integrate: Psychodynamic therapy, depth work, decolonized and Holistic perspectives, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Body-focused/Somatic work, and attachment/interpersonal neurobiology to holistically address mind, body, and soul. I supplement our sessions with the use of digital content, podcasts, books, and outside of session activities. I believe in my client’s capacity for embracing authenticity, experiencing liberation, and living a full and meaningful life as defined by them.
