What does a first session with you look like?
All sessions are virtual only; no in-person sessions available. After our intake session, and including it, the primary focus will be to build a rapport between us. This will look like a trusting, professional- rather than social one. Our contact will be limited to the counseling sessions. Please note it is not possible to guarantee any specific results regarding your counseling goals but together we will definitely work to ensure the best possible results.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
There are many counseling approaches and techniques which may be utilized at any given moment to meet a client's specific needs. Therefore, I continue to train to ensure I can give you what you need. My approach is going to be based on your needs. I may use a combination of Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitve Processing Therapy, Mindfulnesss, Trauma-Informed, and Psychoeducation.
