What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

Dr. Lewis is a South Georgia girl with southern charm. She attended the University of Georgia where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. As an Augusta University Jaguar, she continued her educational journey in graduate school where she completed her Masters in Clinical Leadership in 2017 and obtained a Doctor of Nursing Practice with a concentration in Psychiatric-Mental Health in 2021. While there, she served as a scholar for the Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training Program that integrated behavioral health with primary care. She has special interests in mood disorders, PTSD, and ADHD. Dr. Lewis is well versed in evidence-based practice and patient-centered care that allows her to acknowledge the whole person, encompassing individualized care that addresses overall lifestyle behaviors, chronic health conditions, as well as physical symptoms. When she is not in the office seeing patients, you can find her on the lake or cheering on the UGA Bulldogs.
