Under Clinical Supervision

Molly Horgan, Licensed Master Social Worker, 90626 is practicing under the supervision of Genevieve Uslander (New York, LCSW, 90626) at Resilience Lab.

Please, note: A clinician listed as being “clinically supervised” is completing clinical hours toward their licensure. They have one or more fully licensed clinical supervisors that often have special training to become supervisors. They consult with their supervisor(s) on all of their cases, which means that, when working with them, you are getting the time and expertise of multiple therapists in your treatment.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

Do you find yourself overwhelmed, anxious, out of alignment, or constrained by others' expectations? Have you recently experienced a loss or gone through a change? You don’t have to go through it alone. Therapy can be a space to harness your strengths, discover your voice, and find fulfillment. Let’s explore and process these challenges together. Therapy should be a validating and empowering experience. Part of my work involves teaching self compassion so you can reframe any negative thoughts and speak to yourself in a kinder way. Taking the step to start therapy is courageous and admirable. Finding the right therapist can be daunting, but the search is well worth it. As you’re searching for what finds you joy, I’ll create a space where you can speak openly, process your feelings, and come back to yourself.

What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

I started going to therapy after graduating from college and found it to be a transformative experience. Before I started, I spent a lot of time trying to meet other people’s expectations, and that started to change the deeper I went into my healing journey. Therapy taught me to recognize my patterns, blind spots, and strengths. It's where I found my voice and reconnected with my authentic self. Talking to someone weekly was powerful, and I wanted to facilitate the same transformation for others.

What are your biggest strengths as a therapist?

I’m naturally a level-headed, grounded person, which creates a calming therapeutic environment. If a client is feeling stressed and activated, I can hold the space they need to process their emotions before letting them go. I’m organized and diligent when it comes to scheduling, communication, and client support. I make a point of following through and doing the things I say I’m going to do. I’m an empathetic listener who helps people feel heard and understood.
