What is your style/approach to therapy?

I help my clients find empowerment, clarity and relief by equipping them with the tools they need to reconnect with their authentic selves and better understand how unresolved traumas from their past are showing back up in their present relationships. Many clients with relational trauma often feel overlooked and misunderstood, leading so many to feel lost in their therapy journeys and wondering if there is anyone out there that can truly understand their pain and help them heal. I know that your circumstances are unique, so together we will uncover and blend your innate strengths with the skills, experience and knowledge I offer to help you achieve deep healing and find a renewed sense of calm, choice and connection within your life. First, we’ll dive into your past and examine the childhood relationships and experiences that are causing the emotional distress that you’re experiencing today. Then, we’ll identify the negative narratives that you’ve adopted so that we can reshape them in a way that will be most transformative for you. Through our work together, you’ll be equipped with all of the tools and skills you need to audit the relationships in your life and build an inner circle that leaves you feeling fulfilled, confident and excited about your future.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My approach is guided by science but informed by your lived experience. I aim to serve as a guide who meets you where you're at and blends your innate strengths with my skills, experience and knowledge to help you achieve your goals while uncovering a renewed sense of calm, choice and connection within your life. With commitment to the process, most clients experience relief within 8-12 sessions.

Education

Nova Southeastern University, Doctorate of Psychology, Clinical Psychology, 2022

I'm a relational trauma clinical psychologist with a comprehensive educational background, having earned a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. My journey through this program was marked by trauma-focused training rotations, each providing me with deep insights and practical experience in the field of trauma. I had the opportunity to work with diverse populations, including a Foster Care/Adoption Agency, a Veterans Affairs PTSD Hospital, a Trauma-Focused Residential Facility, and a Local Community Mental Health Center. These experiences have equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of trauma-informed modalities. My approach to clinical work is heavily influenced by a relational and attachment perspective, which I integrate into my practice to offer empathetic, informed, and effective care to those grappling with the complexities of trauma.

Work History

With my years of experience in helping people overcome relational trauma, I’ve cultivated the understanding and expertise you deserve to guide your growth along this journey. But, at the end of the day, you want to know that you’re working with someone who gets what it means to struggle with feeling disconnected, unfulfilled and confused as they walk through life, right? I understand because I have devoted my career to walking alongside individuals as they work to overcome the challenging childhood relationships and experiences that are continuing to show up in their adult lives. I know that sometimes it can be overwhelming to think about digging up the past. So when we work together, you won’t just get a trained psychologist. You’ll get a seasoned guide that can safely help you revisit your past, rediscover who you authentically are and, ultimately, help you reshape the way you connect with yourself and others.
