What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Monty W. Miller, LSCSW, LCSW, Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist, is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker in the state of Kansas and Missouri, a Certified Life Coach with training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, IMAGO Relationship Therapy, Gottman Couples Therapy and Bowen Family Systems Theory. He is a certified ART Therapist (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) to assist clients with healing traumatic events in their lives. He received a bachelor's degree in Psychology and earned a master's degree in Social Welfare from the University of Kansas. He has 35+ years of experience working with inpatients and outpatients in behavioral health, substance abuse, oncology and grief and loss. He enjoys working with teens and adults and offers individual, couples and family appointments. He is also an adjunct professor at The University of Kansas and Ottawa University. He understands the importance of healthy relationships and how we are wounded in relationships and healed in relationship.
