What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Anna Batyan is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in Maryland who has been practicing since 2019. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, both of which she completed with excellence at George Mason University. Anna brings a wealth of experience in working at different levels of care with diverse populations struggling with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, substance use, eating disorders, OCD, ADD/ADHD, and co-occurring diagnosis. Anna offers her clients practical coping skills for dealing with life stressors, anxiety, depression, and unhealthy behaviors. She provides a safe space to process deep emotions associated with trauma, low self-esteem, negative body image, substance use, and relationship issues. Anna uses a welcoming, collaborative, and evidence-based approach to help her clients set personal goals to make a change, effectively cope with difficult emotions, break the pattern of negative thoughts and self-talk, as well as derive inner power and confidence.
