Under Clinical Supervision

Natalie Asalgado, Licensed Master Social Worker, 109823 is practicing under the supervision of Hala Alyan (New York, LPC, 21235) at Resilience Lab.

Please, note: A clinician listed as being “clinically supervised” is completing clinical hours toward their licensure. They have one or more fully licensed clinical supervisors that often have special training to become supervisors. They consult with their supervisor(s) on all of their cases, which means that, when working with them, you are getting the time and expertise of multiple therapists in your treatment.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

Our identities inform how we experience the world—and how the world perceives us—because we all exist within larger systems of oppression and power. Throughout our time together, we’ll unpack how these systems impact the way you think, feel, and act. We’ll work together to challenge internalized belief systems and build your strengths so you can heal, achieve liberation, and stand proud in your identity. I’m a bilingual, Latinx social worker and psychotherapist who works with young adults exploring what their race, ethnicity, gender, and sexuality mean to them. Some of my clients are also experiencing anxiety and depression, adjusting to new environments, or improving their communication with loved ones. By creating a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive space, we can work together in service of your own growth. We are all drawn to therapy for a variety of reasons. Maybe we're navigating a new time in our life, exploring our relationships with others, or figuring out what it means to be ourselves. There's no right or wrong way to "do therapy." You've already made the toughest decision: to look for a therapist. Feel free to reach out and schedule a free phone consultation. I look forward to hearing from you!
