What does a first session with you look like?
I completely understand the need for a safe space where you can be heard without judgment and with compassion. I want to provide that for you while slowly challenging unhelpful patterns that may be arising in your day-to-day life. I work from a lens of empowerment and clarity to assist you with utilizing this space for what feels most prominent. This may include peeling back the layers of your experiences, allowing space for and practicing holding painful emotions (grief, sadness, anxiety, anger), building upon and learning new skills, cultivating your strengths, and offering space for vulnerability.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I utilize a variety of different therapeutic modalities to ensure that I can provide the most personalized therapeutic experience for you. These modalities include concepts from Attachment theory, CBT/DBT, Somatic Therapy, Narrative and Solution-Focused therapy.
