Under Clinical Supervision

Natasha Go, Resident, 123 is practicing under the supervision of Anna Sumerlin (New Jersey, LPC, 37PC00624500) at Thriveworks Counseling & Psychiatry Dumont.

Please, note: A clinician listed as being “clinically supervised” is completing clinical hours toward their licensure. They have one or more fully licensed clinical supervisors that often have special training to become supervisors. They consult with their supervisor(s) on all of their cases, which means that, when working with them, you are getting the time and expertise of multiple therapists in your treatment.

What does a first session with you look like?

The first session, as with all Thriveworks therapists, will involve talking through your needs and goals for therapy — whether those involve managing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or another mental health challenge. This will enable you to receive the very best care, as a personalized treatment plan will then be developed for subsequent sessions. Thriveworks helps people live happier, more fulfilling lives. Clients are guided and supported as they work through their unique mental health challenges – and, along the way, shown the life-changing power of therapy.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I offer a variety of counseling approaches including CBT / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems. As a queer-identified person of color, I understand the unique issues of identity exploration and intersectionality.

What should we know about your experiences and background?

Natasha Go is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in the state of New Jersey who has over 3 years of experience providing clinician assessment and therapeutic care to teens, adults, and couples seeking help with depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief, life transitions, and LGBTQ+ or other sexuality issues. Natasha completed both their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology at William Paterson University of New Jersey and continued to achieve their Master of Education (M.Ed) in Professional Counseling in Clinical Mental Health at William Paterson University of New Jersey. They utilize cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, emotionally focused, and interpersonal approaches to therapy, keeping in mind the unique background of each client. Natasha draws on their experience working with diverse populations in order to apply an empathic and culturally sensitive perspective towards the current goals and needs of their clients. Natasha aims to establish a genuine and authentic relationship with you and to create a safe and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel comfortable discussing your current issues and concerns. They look forward to helping you build the skills needed for you to achieve your own goals and come to a more genuine understanding of yourself.
