What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Tysam Beckett is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, who has been practicing since 2021. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Master of Science in Nursing. She is credentialed as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Across the Lifespan) "? Board Certified (PMHNP-BC) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Tysam can provide assessment, diagnosis and medication for mental health conditions or substance use disorders. Tysam believes in providing a holistic, evidence-based treatment plan for her patients. Tysam believes in accomplishing this by determining any underlying causes for the condition, discussing the psychosocial factors that can impact treatment, educating the patient in the effects of any prescribed medications, and providing additional resources for the patient to utilize throughout the treatment process. Her main areas of focus include anxiety, mood disorders and ADHD. She provides services to patients across the lifespan (from children <13 through seniors 65+). As a veteran, Tysam enjoys supporting veteran causes and the military community.
