What does a first session with you look like?
My goal as a therapist is to promote healing for my clients and also share constructive tools that clients can utilize even when they move on from working with me.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I have experience providing culturally competent therapeutic services to adult men and women, communities of color, and LGBTQ adult communities. I have been trained to provide individual Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; I do use this clinical intervention when appropriate when working with my clients. I also utilize Motivational Interviewing and Seeking Safety. I incorporate wellness activities in my sessions to support healthy coping and overall wellness, some of these wellness activities can include mindfulness exercises, meditations, art activities, and more.
