What does a first session with you look like?

You can expect a very unique and tailored session specifically to overcome whatever issue you are battling. Sessions will be based in frequency on how often you feel you need to meet as well as looking at where we stand with getting to a healthy baseline if you are using medications. When you leave my goal is that you will walk away feeling empowered to start taking control of decisions, being better equipped to manage time, stress and overwhelm. We will also work on having a variety of coping skills to use when problems arise and setting goals, boundaries, and schedules to give you back the power needed to make positive changes while being encouraged every step.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

Here in my office I utilize several tools to help us reach your goals. I always try to bring the best evidenced-based treatments whether it be through medication therapy, lab testing with interpretation to rule out physical causes, the use of gene sight testing to have a guided plan for medication treatment best suited for the individual or the use of different psychotherapy modalities. Some therapies used are CBT and DBT skills, psycho-education, talk therapy, journal use and mood/symptom tracking, and art/play therapy.
